The "Special Archaeological Superintendence of Fine Arts and Landscape" in Rome has set 8 dates in all, throughout the year. The opening date of "I Go to the Museum" at the Terme di Caracalla, was March 22nd. Here are all the upcoming FREE events:
August 15 - Ferragosto, or the Feriæ Augustæ, a feast established by the emperor Augustus in 18 BC
4 November - National Unity and Armed Forces Day
17 December - beginning of the Saturnalia, one of the most popular and heartfelt festivals of ancient Rome, in which the social order was subverted.
These are events aimed at making the Romans know and not one of the most important monuments of Rome, where, even today, it is possible to breathe the typical atmosphere of the spa. The initiative is also enriched by the advanced technology of the viewers, which have made the Baths of Caracalla the first large archaeological site entirely usable in 3D
